Face and Neck Rejuvenation
Face and neck rejuvenating procedures are very common and can be performed elsewhere. However people from Moscow and other major cities come to Cosmetology & Plastic Surgery Center in Ekaterinburg to undergo a surgery. How do our techniques differ?
Our clinic has always been on guard of its reputation; therefore we use neither obsolete nor best-selling but questionable techniques that could have unpredictable long-term effects (golden thread lifts, etc.).
Instead, we use a unique endoscopic technology developed in the US. It allows facial rejuvenation with minimal skin incisions that are made to introduce a surgical instrument equipped with a micro-videocamera. It's practically impossible to find scars after endoscopic forehead lift: the procedure is performed using a number of tiny incisions hidden within the hairline. As a result, forehead lines smooth out, descended with age brows and upper eyelids get lifted up thus making a patient's eyes youthfully open.
This technique has been successfully used in our clinic for 7 years.
Another distinction in our approach is a so called «deep-plane face lift» instead of commonly performed skin lift.
Standard skin lift relies on skin tightening and excision. In an experienced surgeon this procedure may take only 30 to 40 minutes. Skin tightening helps reduce facial wrinkles. However facial features may change unfavorably by that, including narrowing of the the eyes, unnatural smile and a pulled surgical look. In addition, the results of such procedures are quite short-lived, maximum 3 to 5 years.
Most plastic surgeons today admit that the tightening of superficial musculo-aponeurotic system (SMAS) is much more reliable, since ageing affects both skin and underlying muscles and fascias. SMAS lift is a very meticulous and demanding procedure, therefore, high professional skills are the key component of success. Besides, this is a much more time-consuming procedure. In return, however, patients enjoy the results lasting much longer – up to 10 to 12 years! Neither golden nor platinum threads are needed. All plastic surgeons in our clinic master this technique brilliantly.
Each operation is unique and individually planned for a specific face. Apart from wrinkle reduction and skin tightening, it aims to restore the lost over years attractiveness and youthful appearance to a patient's face.
In full faces SMAS lift may be combined with liposuction of specific facial areas, most frequently cheeks. Straightforward skin tightening in such cases proves to be nonproductive.
