Breast Surgery (Mammaplasty): Breast Reduction and Breast Lift
A large breast, besides purely aesthetic problems and psychological discomfort, may be associated with some health problems, such as skin irritation, back and neck aches, and poor posture. In such cases, breast reduction is indicated, which involves removal of some glandular tissue in addition to skin and fat.It is not infrequent that with age or after breast-feeding, breast shape is compromised, although its size remains the same. As a result, breast becomes sagging due to poor tissue elasticity.
A widely accepted in Russia breast reduction technique leaves a patient with long horizontal and vertical scars. We use vertical mammaplasty techniques without a long horizontal scar and the resulting scars are minimal. Our patients, when asked about the surgery outcomes, consider these scars to be an acceptable “price” for a nice breast shape.
Mammaplasty provides either breast reduction or its shape and elasticity improvement while maintaining the original size.
