How to become a surgical patient
Prior to surgery all patients are required to see a plastic surgeon to find out indications for surgical treatment, select necessary procedures and estimate total cost.
Personal consultations are preferable. Only face-to-face communication with a patient enables a doctor to assess the problem comprehensively, find out individual body characteristics (e.g. quality and elasticity of tissues etc.) and provide the patient with complete information regarding the surgery. Consultations by plastic surgeons in our clinic are free.
If you live outside Ekaterinburg, you can get a distant primary consultation using digital photos. The distant consultation is always tentative; it gives an idea of possible procedures, time of the surgery and its approximate cost. For this type of consultation we need high quality digital photos with high resolution (big size), taken without a flash in the daylight. The photos should meet the following requirements:

Face
Head is kept straight, chin is not elevated, forehead and ears are open, facial muscles are perfectly relaxed; objective lens is on the eye level. Frontal view, right and left profile, right and left oblique views.
Nose
Frontal view of the face, right and left profile views, base view (with head thrown back).
Breast
Frontal view, right and left oblique views; frontal view with arms lifted up on top of the head.
Body contouring
Full view from neck to toes, in underwear or in an open bathing suit with arms down and muscles of the abdomen and legs completely relaxed. Front, back, right and left views.
Legs (lower leg reshaping or leg lengthening).
Body from waist to toes should be photographed. Knees are straight, feet are close. Front and back views.
Hands.
Views: palm and back of the hand, hand X-rays with fingers straight.

Date of arrival
Preoperative examination takes 1 day; surgery is usually scheduled for the next day. You are expected to arrive at the clinic for examination by 9 a.m., on an empty stomach. You should bring your blood tests (HIV, hepatitis, etc.) and chest X-ray images made less than 6 months before the date of surgery.
Women should avoid undergoing surgery during their monthly periods.
